Rolling shutters
Rolling shutters first appeared in 1882. At that time, shutters were made from wooden boards. They were not very easy to operate and could only cover small surfaces. Anton Griesser patented the first rolling shutters. Griesser rolling shutters are characterized by longevity.
Overview Rolling shutters
Built-in rolling shutter
The built-in rolling shutter can be installed not only in new construction but also in conversions and renovations in existing rolling shutter boxes or headers. When open, the shutter disappears in the masonry and is therefore protected from the effects of the weather.
Front-mounted rolling shutter
The shutter box of a front-mounted rolling shutter is fitted as a complete element in front of the window. The front-mounted shutter is suited to use in both new builds and renovation projects.
